Dr Saad Yasin is an established and highly skilled physician with over 20 years experienced in Family Medicine. He recieved his medical degree in from Jinnah Sindh Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his family medicine training (GPVTS) in East Anglia, UK. During his career in the UK, he obtained further academic qualifications which include Member of Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP), Diploma of Royal College of Obstetrics and gynecologist (DRCOG), Diploma of Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH), Diploma in Occupational Medicine (DOccMed) and Certificate in Medical Acupuncture (BMAS).
Dr Saad Yasin immigrated to Calgary, Canada in 2012 and obtained Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). Due to his continuing expertise in Family Medicine, Scholarly and Leadership activities, he was awarded the Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (FCFP). He has been involved in teaching and training throughout his career. He currently holds faculty position as Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University. He moved to Ontario and started full time practice at Alton Village Medical Centre in Burlington in November 2023.
Dr Saad Yasin’s area of interest are Primary Prevention, Chronic disease management and Women’s Health. Primary prevention is focused on avoiding disease entirely. Interventions are done before a disease ever occurs to decrease the risk. Health conditions that require ongoing management are called chronic health conditions and include things like heart disease, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, Asthma, COPD and some cancers.
Dr Saad Yasin has received extended training in the area of women’s health , He obtained diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Over the past 20 years, Dr Yasin has been providing expert management in the area of contraception including IUD and subdermal Implant. He also performs Endometrial biopsy and offers consultation for the management of infertility, menopause and Menstrual issues. He also provides prenatal care up to 20 weeks of gestation to pregnant women. Women who receive early and regular prenatal care generally have better outcomes.
Dr Tehmina Rashid obtained her medical degree from Nishtar Medical University, Pakistan. She has a background in gynaecology and has a fellowship in Gynaecology and obstetrics from College of physicians and surgeons, Pakistan
She completed her postgraduate training in Family Medicine from the United Kingdom and is a Member of Royal College of General Practitioners, UK and holds an active Certification with College of Family Physicians of Canada.
She has been involved in teaching and education throughout her career and has taught advanced pathophysiology and pharmacology courses at Trent University, Canada. She is a dedicated professional and also completed clinical research (CRA) certification from McMaster University.
Her areas of interest include women’s health, preventive medicine and chronic disease management.
